Steamlined Security at EWR For The Holidays

Holiday travelers at Newark’s Liberty International Airport Terminal A can expect a streamlined security checkpoint experience this holiday season. Terminal A is home to airlines such as JetBlue, United, and American Airlines. The Port Authority is testing a new program named “Newark VirtuaLine” at several checkpoints in Terminal A.

Every day from 4 A.M. to 8 P.M. travelers at checkpoints A2 (Gates 20 to 28) and A3 (Gates 30 to 39) can now reserve a 30-minute time slot at the security checkpoint. 72 hours before your flight you can now register online providing your airline and flight information to get an available time. Users will get a QR code that they can display when they arrive. This should ease some of the anxiety of not knowing how long the security queue may be.
