Travel Advisory at Newark Airport
Travelers at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) will face possible delays and confusion as construction repairs take place on bridges in front of the terminals. Construction begins on Monday, March 6 causing a 24/7 closure of one of the three traffic lanes for both terminals B and C.
The repairs will be completed in two phases starting with a four-month closure in front of Building 4 and then moving to the Express road in front of Terminal B. Work is expected to be completed by November 2023.
Details about the project can be found here.
Passengers using terminals B and C can also be dropped off or picked up directly inside the short-term parking lots B & C. Vehicles will not pay a fee if exiting under 30 minutes.
For those waiting to pick up passengers, a cell phone lot waiting area is available for free. Located less than five minutes away from all terminals and open 24/7, it can be found on Google Maps by searching “EWR Cell Phone Lot.”
